Apple to move to Intel CPU's

Apple are to move over to Intel CPU's :-
 
 
Big shame, narrowing of the market, and probably the end of the PowerPC.

I wouldn't count the PowerPC out entirely, as it will continue to be
used in game platforms (and maybe other embedded platforms?).   But
yes, in the desktop hardware market, it seems there's now only one game
in town.

While this is big news to some people, please keep postings to this list
relevant to LLVM.

LLVM will support PowerPC for a very long time, even if Apple magically
decided to drop PPC tommorow (which, obviously, it isn't).
